Backups ensure that a company's important files cannot be completely lost due to, for example, hardware failure, service outage, user error, or vandalism. When implemented correctly, backups are distributed so that no external threat, such as fire or water damage, can destroy all storage media at once.<\/p>

It is also important to remember the need for backups of cloud services, as the available restore options are usually quite limited. With cloud services, it is also possible to overwrite your own data and restore may not be possible afterwards.<\/p>

Nowadays, cybersecurity threats are a reality and, for example, Ransomware<\/i> malware works in such a way that when it gains access to data, it encrypts all files and extorts a ransom to get the data back. When the company's data is backed up regularly, in a similar situation, there is no need to pay the ransom, but it can be restored using a backup service.<\/p>

Backup services should be put in place so that you don't have to worry about your company's critical data disappearing into thin air. Many companies use the Microsoft 365<\/b> service. It only offers a recycle bin and version history for data recovery, with a limited recovery window.
